Flavors from Bag End

Since the Hobbit is coming out in two days, I got inspired to make some hobbit food! One thing that stood out to me was seed cake, it would be my start to discovering the flavors of Middle Earth.

Caraway Seed Cake

1 C. Butter, softened
1 1/4 C. sugar

2 whole eggs
3 egg yolks

3/4 C. milk

3 C flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp Caraway seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Slowly add eggs, scraping bowl if needed, until completely combined.

Whisk dry ingredients together. Alternate dry mixture with milk starting and ending with dry. Mix until just combined. Pour into a greased and floured 9 inch bundt pan.
Bake 80 minutes or until tester comes out clean.

"But I don't mind some cake -- seed-cake, if you have any."

"Lots!"  Bilbo found himself answering, to his own surprise; and he found himself scuttling off, too, to the cellar to fill a pint beer-mug, and then to a pantry to fetch two beautiful round seed-cakes which he had baked that afternoon for his after-supper morsel.
